Ajay (Andrew Jay) Magnuson Born and raised in central California Ajay started playing guitar at age 10. After spending his late teens and early twenties playing the Los Angeles club circuit he returned to central Ca and formed his own blues based band, the AJM Band recording 5 cd’s. Ajay also played lead guitar for the Heart tribute Heart Love Alive between 2014 and 2022. In the spring of 2022 Ajay relocated to Greenville, SC where he now resides. Besides the Sonic Shifters he currently plays lead guitar for the Styx / Journey tribute Evolusion. Brian Eberle Brian first picked up the bass at 12 years old - a loaner from his brother in law. Loving all kinds of music from an early age, he tried to play along to whatever he could from the radio and cassettes. Early influences were classic rock, progressive, and heavy metal, before getting into punk and alternative. Inspired by a diverse group of bass players such as Chris Squire, Eric Avery, Paul Simonon, Steve Harris, and Simon Gallup. Brian grew up just outside of Philadelphia, PA. He played the Philly/NJ club and bar circuit in original bands Fauxtron and Glori H, and the cover band P-rents. He moved to the upstate with his family in late 2022. Dave Herr Dave was born in Pennsylvania and moved to Greenville SC in 2020 to marry his high-school sweetheart Traci. Born the son of a music teacher Dave began reading music at 5 yrs old but focused himself on Trumpet and The drum set. Dave has been in various bands over the years. (Circle, Mad Mulligan, Citizen Slick, Last Known Good, Illusions of Grandeur, and SinYstr.) Dave's melodic drumming style combines musicality, feel, finesse and power from influences starting with John Bonham and Neil Peart and continue to Liberty Devito, Mike Portnoy, Tommy Aldridge, Simon Kirke, Ian Paice, Bill Ward, Vinnie Appice, Bernard Purdy and the late Jeff Porcaro. The Sonic Shifters are a perfect mixture of musicians and personalities that allow Dave to play music for years to come. Brandon Cash A native of Spartanburg, has been playing music since he got his first guitar at 7 years old (he actually still has that guitar). When he was younger his dad showed him the basics and eventually learned how to play guitar by learning and playing along with songs such “Knockin’ of Heavens Door” and the solo found on Aerosmith’s "Living on the Edge.” After discovering he could actually sit down, listen and learn a song, he dedicated all of his spare time playing guitar. Brandon loves and appreciates all types of music, but classic rock and the old blues hold a special place in his heart. His primary influences include SRV, Clapton, Hendrix, Angus Young, Steve Perry, Wes Montgomery, Grant Green and the list goes on and on. Over the past few years Brandon has been found playing guitar in bands such as Big Blue Planet and All Apologies. Brandon and his family live in upstate SC. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his wife and 2 children.
